Hi, I’m Zainab Bie, a globally recognised young climate justice leader and advocacy strategist. I bridge policy spaces, philanthropy, and campaign ecosystems to make climate action more inclusive, just, equitable, and led by the Global South.
I believe climate action should centre the people most affected by the crisis, not institutions, not markets, but communities. My work turns that belief into policy, funding models, and movement infrastructure that shift power and resources to where they are needed most.
I have represented youth and the Global South at five UN COPs, the G20 India Summit, and the UN Summit of the Future, UN Finance Negotaitions -FfD4 and Reuters recognised me as a Future Energy Leader 2024.
As Director for Asia Pacific at Equal Right, I lead regional strategy that advances unconditional cash transfers (UCTs) as tools for climate justice, conservation, and community resilience.
